Contractor Compliance Australia (CCA) offers prime contractors risk-mitigation assurance services to ensure that their business and their sub-contractors (all tiers) are legally compliant for work.

CCA assists contractors and their sub-contractors to establish and maintain prime contractor compliance requirements.

All industries operate within a legal and regulatory employment framework underpinned by various insurance and compliance regimes aimed at avoiding, minimising or transferring risk in the event of an incident.

However, competitive pricing, poor business practices, laziness or ignorance many sub-contractors deliberately or inadvertently remain legally and regulatory non-compliant and thus in many cases transfer the risk to the prime contractor.

Secure Local Jobs Code Certificate

The Code applies to businesses undertaking works of any value for construction, cleaning, security and traffic management.

Additionally, the Code also applies to procurements over $200,000 for services or works (other than those listed as excluded services or works), where labour is the highest cost to the ACT Government. Excluded services or works can be found in the Government Procurement Regulation 2007, part 4, section 12AB.

 

The following information must be provided:

  • Business or Instalment Activity Statements, and Online services for business (past 24 months)
  • Evidence of superannuation scheme payments (past 24 months)
  • ACT Long Service Leave Authority Certificate of Currency (if applicable)
  • Workers compensation insurance Certificate of Currency
  • Public liability insurance Certificate of Currency
  • ACT Payroll Tax returns (past 24 months, if applicable)
  • Enterprise agreement or modern award.
